Catch Charity

Overview

CATCH is a children’s charity that raises funds to provide a current and future source of revenue to help improve the quality of life for sick, injured and needy pediatric patients who receive care from Children’s Hospital of Michigan Foundation and Henry Ford Health System. CATCH desired to update their internet presence with a design and infrastructure makeover as well as better integration with CATCH’s social media and online fundraising efforts.

CATCH’s website was over a decade old, and it was agreed upon that a ground up redesign and rebuild was in order. Assembly Line Technologies supplied CATCH with a fully responsive, hand coded, hand designed custom WordPress theme that provided their staff all the necessary tools to accept donations and independently manage their fundraising events.

Paramount to CATCH’s fundraising capacities were the ability to easily accept donations at its charity events. Assembly Line Technologies developed the CATCH WordPress theme using active-responsive technology, utilizing six breakpoints to ensure that their web presence remained usable and visually appealing on all devices.

When budget permits, we at Assembly Line Technologies typically prefers to hand code our client’s WordPress themes from scratch, rather than force a pre-existing theme or template into a state that its original author had not accounted for during development. The result is a unique product that we are intimately familiar with such that future adjustments and support can in fact be implemented as modifications rather than costly, foundation altering remodels.
