Update Outlook (on Mac) to Utilize Fusemail SSL
Many of our clients whom utilize our hosted email services will be affected by a series of updates rolled out by our contracted email service provider as of August 25 2021.
You may have trouble sending or receiving mail in outlook. If so, try the steps below to update your account settings. Note that upon making the changes, your inbox and its sub folders may take some time to sync back up with the server and display all of their original contents.
NOTE: these instructions are for outlook users on Mac, if you are using outlook on windows you will want to use these instructions instead.
Step 1: Navigate to your fusemail linked account in outlook by clicking “Outlook” in the top left corner, then selecting the “Preferences” item from the dropdown.
Step 2: In the pop up dialog, select which emailĀ account you are having trouble with from the list on the left. You may only have one account.
Step 3: Update your “Incoming Server” options to match the screen shot, that is to say:
-Server to: imap.fusemail.net
-Port to: 993
-Check the Checkbox for: Use SSL to connect…
Step 4: Update your “Outgoing Server” options to match the screen shot, that is to say:
-Server to: smtp.fusemail.net
-Port to: 465
